WORK SCHEDULE: Part-time, 80% FTE, 32 hours per week Days, M-F Position Description
DEPARTMENT DESCRIPTION: The program offers medication for opioid use disorder (MOUD) to adults with opioid use disorder in primary care medical clinics, mental health and addictions programs, and hospital settings. The program is funded by the Federal Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) Opioid State Targeted Response (STR) grant awarded to Washington State to address the opioid use epidemic. Provide clinical expertise to patients and their families. Serve as a resource person for health care providers, and participate in research and teaching programs. Work with general independence and decision-making responsibility under the guidance of attending physicians, chief resident, clinical lead APP, and assistant director of APPs. Follow guidelines and practice policies established by the department and Harborview Medical Center, plus applicable manuals. Work with the Opioid Treatment Team and provide medication assisted treatment for individuals with opioid use disorder. Requirements
Master’s Degree in nursing from an accredited school of nursing AND Washington State Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner License with prescriptive privileges AND National certification as a Nurse Practitioner AND BLS certification OR Licensure as a Physician’s Assistant in the State of Washington with national certification (NCCPA) AND BLS certification. Applicant must be eligible to receive hospital staff appointments for adjunct staff membership by the Organized Medical Staff of the hospital under Medical Staff By-Laws for hospital-based positions.
