Radiation Therapist PRN

Responsibilities
Develop and implement optimal treatment strategies using expertise in simulation and treatment processes.
Assess patients, recognize and document changes in status.
Educate patients on radiation side effects and management of these side effects.
Document treatment parameters and maintain accurate Electronic Medical Records.
Evaluate, critique and recommend changes to the radiation therapy process as necessary.
Participate in patient simulation, fabrication of immobilization devices and treatment accessories on an emergency on‑call basis and clinical rotations.
Perform HDR simulations, catheter measuring, documentation, hookup and assist nurses with post‑HDR patient care as needed.
Qualifications
Basic Cardiac Life Support certification within 30 days of employment start date.
(ARRT‑R) Radiography, (RT) Radiologic Technologist/Radiographer, associate degree and (ARRT‑T) Radiation Therapy or (RadTherapy) Radiation Therapist certification within 60 days of start date.
