Speech Language Pathologist Assistant (School) CA role with Amergis Healthcare Staffing. The Speech Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA) assists the Speech Language Pathologist in providing speech and language services within the scope of the plan of care. Responsibilities
The SLPA will have clinical, educational, documentation, and treatment-related activities in support of the Speech Language Pathologist and/or physician, adhering to professional standards and state regulations. Minimum Requirements
Must be a graduate of an SLPA program with an associate’s degree, or hold a bachelor’s degree in a speech-language pathology or communication disorders program Successful completion of a minimum of 100 hours of supervised field work experience or its clinical experience equivalent as required by state and/or contract Current certification or licensure as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant in the State of Practice Complies with all relevant professional standards of practice One (1) year of prior professional Speech-Language Pathology Assistant experience preferred TB questionnaire, PPD or chest X-ray if applicable Current Health certificate (per contract or state regulation) Must meet all federal, state and local requirements Must be at least 18 years of age Benefits
