Overview
STAFF RN EP DEVICE, FH - CFAC ELECTROPHYSIOLOGY Location: Milwaukee, WI (Froedtert Hospital) On-site position. Standard Hours: 40.00 per week. Shift: Weekdays, 1st shift. Responsibilities
Care for adults with identified complex Cardiology and Electrophysiology conditions, focusing on patients with cardiac devices including pacemakers, defibrillators, and loop recorders. Assess, interrogate, reprogram, and manage cardiac devices within the nursing scope of practice. Maintain detailed and accurate patient records related to pacemakers, defibrillators, and loop recorders. Administer medications, provide telephone triage, patient and family education, and coordinate care across ambulatory, procedural, OR, Imaging, Diagnostic, and inpatient departments. Perform, assist with, and/or monitor procedures as assigned; participate in pre- and post-procedure assessment where applicable. Demonstrate competency in telephonic and in-person nursing care, equipment management, wound care, and telemetry interpretation as applicable to the EP specialty. Engage in care coordination and teach-back methods; utilize point-of-care testing as needed. Experience
Two years of clinical nursing experience in Cardiology or Electrophysiology required. Education
Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in Wisconsin or a Multi-state Nursing License (NLC) is required. Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing preferred. Training
National certification in nursing specialty preferred. Special Skills
Proficient with electronic health records and technology essential for the practice setting. Able to perform focused or comprehensive nursing assessments in person or by telephone. Strong attention to detail and ability to work under stress while communicating effectively with patients and families. Licensure
Current Wisconsin RN license or eligible multi-state license. AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers required within 90 days of hire. AHA Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) required within 90 days of hire. Perks & Benefits
