We are seeking three Neonatal Nurse Practitioners (NNPs) to support our Level I Newborn Nursery at TMC Rincon. This role involves working independently with support from neonatologists or pediatricians, and offers a $50,000 sign-on bonus with a three-year commitment. Responsibilities
Examine and manage newborn care, facilitate transitions to primary care providers, and follow up with parents post-discharge if necessary. Attend high-risk deliveries and stabilize infants for transport to TMC's Level III+ NICU. Provide clinical support to labor, delivery, recovery, and postpartum staff throughout the day. The on-call schedule includes 5 days of 24-hour home/pager call, followed by 10 days off, with flexibility for adjustments. During off days, shifts at TMC's larger facility may be available to maintain skills. Part-time candidates are encouraged to apply. Minimum Qualifications
Master’s degree in Nursing or related field, or equivalent experience. Five years of related experience, preferably in acute care. National certification as a Neonatal Nurse Practitioner or eligibility to obtain it. Arizona RN and Nurse Practitioner licensure, including prescriptive authority, and DEA license for controlled substances. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Proficiency in nursing care, assessments, and adherence to regulations. Strong evaluation, communication, and problem-solving skills. Ability to interpret professional literature and regulations, and to work with various instructions and data. Physical Demands and Work Environment
This role requires physical activity such as lifting up to 25 pounds, standing, walking, and handling equipment. Exposure to potentially hazardous fluids, chemicals, or tissues is possible, with moderate noise levels.
