Bierman Autism Centers is looking for a full-time and center-based

Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP)

to join a motivated and energetic team focused on transforming the lives of children diagnosed with autism while building a fun and creative culture at work. You will be committed and focused on helping parents and their child grow on their terms. You will continually challenge yourself to gain new skills, try new methods, and adapt to be better to help each child. Our one-on-one approach is focused on natural play to teach foundational skills such as self-advocacy and communication. Every child’s success is unique. What you’ll do and why it matters: accelerate client success, drive coordination of care with ABA services, and formulate and implement individualized treatment plans for a caseload of clients in your assigned location. You will ensure clinical quality, ethical practice, and positive client outcomes.

Responsibilities

Direct, design and implement programs for SLP services for assigned clients

Conduct assessments and develop treatment plans for clients

Repeat evaluations on a regular basis to measure progress according to professional guidelines

Maintain a caseload of 35-40 sessions or 25 billable hours per week

Ensure client programming is ethical, appropriately individualized, and provided with integrity

Update progress reports for assigned clients

Document all activities according to professional and funder guidelines

Stay current with professional literature, research, and best practices

Develop, implement, and drive processes

Coordinate care with ABA and Speech services

Maintain relationships with parents and conduct caregiver collaboration and training sessions

Provide input and leadership in the organization’s direction

Conduct clinical presentations to staff to promote collaboration and skill development

Attend clinical staff meetings and collaboration meetings with BCBAs

Promote Bierman Autism Centers within the community

Requirements

Master’s Degree in Speech Pathology

Certification of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP)

State Licensure

Strong organization, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills

Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams

Excellent written and oral communication with colleagues, direct reports, and caregivers

Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines

Ability to prioritize tasks and delegate when appropriate

Detail-oriented and able to maintain accuracy

Flexibility and adaptability to meet team needs

Professional integrity and demeanor

Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite; comfortable with MacOS

Ability to learn and use organization technology platforms (CentralReach and Tableau)

Ability to maintain required licensure to practice

Basic & Physical Requirements

Must be able to lift and carry clients who weigh at least 30 pounds

Hearing ability sufficient to evaluate client’s speech

Ability to restrain/hold/transport and use quick body movements as indicated by the Behavior Support Plan

Ability to assume and maintain a variety of postures for extended periods

Ability to walk and run to supervise and maintain safety

Ability to sit on the floor or stand for extended periods

Ability to attend to basic needs such as feeding, diapering, toileting, and dressing

Manual dexterity for data collection and use of devices

Visual acuity to read and comprehend written communication

Ability to transfer data to electronic files or databases

Ability to maintain prolonged computer use and workspace setup

Ability to organize and maintain therapy spaces and materials

Ability to administer medication to clients

Job Requirements

Master’s Degree in Speech Pathology

CCC-SLP and state licensure

Strong organizational and problem-solving skills

Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams

Excellent communication with colleagues, direct reports, and caregivers

Strong time-management and ability to meet deadlines

Detail-oriented and adaptable

Integrity and professionalism

Proficiency with Microsoft Office; comfortable with MacOS

Full-Time Hours: Centers open Monday – Friday: 8:15am – 4:45pm. No travel required
