Phlebotomist I – Sacramento, CA
Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM, with rotational weekends.
Pay range: $21.70 – $23.95 per hour, with potential annual performance bonus.

Responsibilities
Collect specimens according to established procedures – e.g., drug screens, biometric screening and insurance exams.
Administer oral solutions per training.
Research test/client information and confirm all orders using lab technology systems, client contact, and approved tools.
Accurately navigate a computer and enter data – a requirement for success in this role.
Obtain identification, accurately enter billing information and collect payments when required, following corporate policies.
Process specimens – labeling, centrifuging, aliquoting, freezing and preparing for transport as required by test order.
Perform all non‑patient facing duties – inventory, stock supplies, sanitizing, filing, answering phones and using email as appropriate.
Read, understand and comply with departmental policies, protocols and procedures.
Assist with compilation and submission of statistics and data when required.
Maintain all appropriate phlebotomy logs in a timely manner according to frequency (maintenance logs, temperature logs).
Complete online and in‑person training courses timely.
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent.
Medical training: medical assistant or paramedic training preferred.
Phlebotomy certification preferred; required in California, Nevada and Washington.
One year phlebotomy experience preferred.
Customer service in a retail or service environment preferred.
Keyboard/data entry experience.
State phlebotomy license required (Quest does not accept NHA licenses in CA, WA, NV).
Ability to effectively communicate in English.
