Nurse Practitioner
to join our dynamic and nationally recognized
Intensivist and Hospitalist
teams. This is a
unique opportunity
that allows you to
split your time
between the Intensive Care Unit and the Hospital Medicine service. You will alternate weeks—one week working alongside our Critical Care team and one week serving as part of our Hospitalist team—providing comprehensive, evidence‑based care across the continuum of inpatient medicine.

What You’ll Do As an Intensivist Nurse Practitioner
Provide advanced practice care to critically ill adults in a closed, 28‑bed ICU (average census: 12–15 patients).
Work collaboratively with Intensivists, residents, and multidisciplinary team members to manage patient care.
Participate in daily multidisciplinary rounds, procedures, and care coordination.
Manage admissions, perform comprehensive assessments, order and interpret diagnostic tests, and adjust treatment plans.
Utilize advanced technologies, including ECMO, CRRT, neuro‑monitoring, targeted temperature management, and more.
Advanced, high‑quality ICU care: Intensivist‑led closed unit with consistently low complication rates, managing a diverse range of high‑acuity cases including cardiac, neuro, post‑surgical, respiratory, and multi‑organ failure patients.
As a Hospitalist Nurse Practitioner
Admit and manage adult inpatients in collaboration with attending Hospitalists.
Conduct comprehensive histories and physicals, place admission and observation orders, and develop care plans.
Participate in daily multidisciplinary rounds, procedures, and care coordination.
Support care transitions, collaborate across specialties, and ensure high‑quality, efficient inpatient care.
Utilize our unified EMR system for seamless communication and documentation across departments.

Work Experience
Demonstrate expertise in the diagnosis and treatment of general medical illnesses
Effective communication of plan of treatment
Excellent customer service skills
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, written and verbal and conflict resolution abilities
Able to work nocturnist hours
Independent performer
Knowledgeable regarding all aspects of the Adult Hospitalist Nurse Practitioner scope of practice
Required Experience
Current California Nurse Practitioner license
Graduate from an accredited NP Master’s Program
Evidence of continuing education and self‑development to support license requirements
Board Certification: Board certified as a Nurse Practitioner
Minimum of 3 years direct Intensivist experience preferred
Critical and Pulmonary care experience
