About the Department: Counseling and Psychological Services (CAPS) at George Mason University provides a range of mental health services to support the emotional well-being and academic success of students. About the Position:
This is a 9-month, Part-Time Staff Clinician position. The clinician provides individual counseling and crisis intervention and risk assessments. This part-time role requires a commitment of 16-24 hours per week, with a focus on delivering high-quality psychological services to students from a variety of backgrounds.
Responsibilities:
Provide individual counseling for students;
Perform brief triage/assessments in our walk-in clinic; and
Provide crisis intervention as needed.
Required Qualifications:
Master's or doctoral degree in counseling/clinical psychology, social work, or professional counseling; and
Currently licensed to practice as a psychologist, counselor or social worker in Virginia.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with collegiate mental health or similar developmental populations.
