Full-time Faculty

position conducts formal classes and meets all lab objectives, when applicable, for assigned courses. Full-time faculty teach and evaluate students, prepare and revise course syllabi and other educational materials, and contribute to the overall operation of the College in support of CCC’s mission. Essential Duties

Prepares syllabi that include student learning objectives and student learning outcomes. Teaches on-campus classes in a manner consistent with the philosophy, policies, and guidelines of the college. Demonstrates excellence in teaching and a commitment to integrating new technologies in the learning process. Demonstrates the ability to engage, inspire, motivate and empower students to succeed. Develops reciprocity and cooperation among students; encourages active learning. Employs a variety of teaching methods (lectures, discussions, demonstrations, projects, etc.) to meet students’ learning needs and optimize outcomes. Works individually with students who may need specific assistance in reaching their academic, personal and career goals; models respect for all students and conveys confidence in every student’s ability to learn. Provides regular and useful feedback to students, evaluates and documents performance, and records course grades promptly. Develops and designs an assessment program that ensures application of concepts and skills learned. Stays current with innovations and trends in the discipline as they pertain to pedagogy and technology. Participates in professional development to enhance teaching talents. Attends departmental meetings and contributes to campus and district committees. Adheres to CCC’s student-centered philosophy and fosters student involvement. Ability to work in a culturally diverse work environment. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications. Qualifications

M.D. or Registered Medical Assistant through American Medical Technologists (AMT) or Certified Medical Assistant through the American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA) with three years of medical assisting experience; or a BSN with three years of current ambulatory experience. Knowledge of Brightspace Learning Management System (preferred). Excellent oral and written communication skills; ability to communicate with a diverse group of staff and students. Experience with a diverse, multilingual student population and a commitment to open access education. Scholarship work, publications, committee work, and other relevant experience are highly considered. Two to three years of college-level teaching experience preferred. Salary and Benefits

Salary: $58,000 - $65,000. Offered salary will be determined by the respective collective bargaining agreement and the applicant's education.
