Function:
As a Showroom Sales Manager in the plumbing supply industry, your primary responsibility is to oversee the operation and performance of the showroom sales team. You will lead by example, providing guidance, training, and support to sales consultants while actively contributing to sales targets and customer satisfaction goals. Additionally, you will collaborate with senior management to develop sales strategies, optimize showroom operations, and drive business growth. Principal Duties and Responsibilities: Lead, coach, and mentor the showroom sales team, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment focused on achieving sales goals and delivering exceptional customer service. Provide ongoing training, feedback, and performance evaluations to support the professional development of team members. Collaborate with senior management to develop sales strategies, goals, and action plans aligned with the overall business objectives. Analyze market trends, customer preferences, and competitive landscape to identify opportunities for growth and improvement. Monitor and analyze sales performance metrics, including revenue, conversion rates, average transaction value, and customer satisfaction scores. Identify areas for improvement and implement strategies to optimize sales performance and maximize profitability. Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, trade professionals, and industry partners to drive sales and promote customer loyalty. Provide support and assistance to sales consultants in managing customer inquiries, resolving issues, and ensuring satisfaction with products and services. Develop and maintain a comprehensive understanding of plumbing and lighting products, fixtures, appliances, and accessories available in the showroom. Provide product training and technical support to sales consultants, ensuring they have the knowledge and expertise to assist customers effectively. Collaborate with inventory control and procurement teams to ensure adequate stock levels of merchandise are available to meet customer demand. Monitor inventory turnover rates, identify slow-moving items, and implement strategies to minimize excess inventory and maximize profitability. Work closely with marketing teams to develop and execute promotional campaigns, events, and initiatives to drive traffic to the showroom and increase sales. Utilize various marketing channels, including digital platforms, print media, and community outreach, to reach target customers and generate leads. Prepare and manage the showroom sales budget, including forecasting revenue, expenses, and profitability targets. Monitor expenses, control costs, and implement cost-saving measures to optimize financial performance and achieve business objectives. Ensure the showroom operates efficiently and effectively, adhering to company policies, procedures, and standards of excellence. Implement process improvements, workflow optimizations, and technology enhancements to streamline operations and enhance customer experience. Stay informed about industry trends, market developments, and competitive landscape through market research and analysis. Identify emerging opportunities, new product trends, and potential areas for expansion to maintain a competitive edge in the market. Drive new business by identifying and engaging prospective customers, nurturing relationships, and converting leads into loyal showroom clients. Build community presence by representing the showroom at local association meetings and hosting in-store events that showcase products, strengthen partnerships, and attract new customers. Performs other duties as assigned and uses time wisely. Position Requirements: Bachelor's degree in business administration, marketing, or related field (preferred). Proven experience in showroom sales management, preferably in the plumbing supply or home improvement industry. Strong leadership and management skills with the ability to inspire and motivate a sales team. Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills. Proficiency in sales analysis, budgeting, and financial management. Knowledge of plumbing products, fixtures, and materials. Familiarity with CRM systems, inventory management software, and sales reporting tools. Ability to multitask, prioritize workload, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
