School Bus Driver - No Exp Needed - Training Provided Base pay range: $25.00/hr - $27.00/hr Hiring Immediately - No Experience Necessary - Training Provided Pay Rate: $25.00-27.00/hour Sign-on Bonus: $3,000 for CDL with P & S Endorsements/$1,500 for non-CDL Walk-in Days: Tuesdays & Thursdays between 10am-12pm. The best-trained drivers in the business work for us because we devote significant resources to training and development. A Driver in Training will be trained to obtain a commercial driver’s license (CDL) and related endorsements where available, learn company policies and procedures, and upon successful training, be placed in a Professional Driver role. Provides safe and reliable transportation service by operating a school bus or other vehicle with a fixed or changing route. Exhibits high ethical standards and personal integrity; reports concerns about suspicious or inappropriate behavior to supervisor. Reports for duty on time and maintains route timeliness in a safe manner. Physically assists passengers in evacuation of the vehicle in case of emergency. Immediately reports any accident or incident per Company policy. Follows Company Policy around student and/or passenger management. Informs appropriate personnel of problems/procedures. Presents a neat and professional appearance at all times. Completes required paperwork (including route change sheets, time cards, vehicle repair requests) and submits promptly. Maintains a cooperative attitude with colleagues, supervisors, customers, and passengers, promoting company goodwill. Safely operates vehicle equipment, including wheelchair lifts, radios, and emergency equipment. Other duties as assigned. Additional responsibilities for Paratransit Drivers may apply per location. Qualifications / Requirements
Must be at least 21 years of age; for Tennessee, at least 25 years of age per state law. Must possess, or be able to obtain, all valid applicable state licenses and required certifications to operate company vehicles. Must meet physical and medical requirements and pass substance abuse screening; safety-sensitive employee subject to random testing. Must satisfactorily complete and pass all training. Must practice defensive driving at all times. Compliance with all applicable federal, state, county, district, and contract-specific driver requirements.
