What We Offer: Flex Spending Accounts (health and dependent) 401(k), ESPP, Profit Sharing PTO & Company Paid Holidays EAP JOB DESCRIPTION The Fire Alarm Inspector tests and inspects fire and life safety systems, including fire alarms and special hazards fire protection systems. The inspector provides accurate reports with proper documentation and assists in selling IFP services for any deficiencies found. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Ensure customer satisfaction through quality service, applying experience, knowledge, and training. Complete inspections timely and coordinate with the Inspection Coordinator to ensure scope adherence. Have working knowledge of alarm panels, devices, and critical components. Coordinate between inspection deficiencies and required services. Perform routine inspections, testing, installation, servicing, and preventative maintenance of life safety products. Use online scheduling tools to manage tasks and maintain documentation. Maintain positive customer relationships and review inspection results. Submit paperwork promptly. Maintain equipment, supplies, and company vehicles. Study NFPA standards, stay current with codes, and obtain NICET certifications. Perform other duties as assigned. JOB QUALIFICATIONS: At least 2 years of trade experience; any trade experience is a plus. State of TN certifications required. NICET Level I, II, or III in fire alarm testing and inspections. Good communication and customer service skills. Mechanical and math aptitude. Proficient computer skills, organized, professional. Experience in fire protection industry preferred. Valid driver’s license required. Willing to pass drug, reference, and background checks. EDUCATION AND CERTIFICATIONS: High school diploma or equivalent. Minimum of 2 years in fire alarm inspection, testing, maintenance, or installation. NICET Certification required. PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT: Work in industrial, commercial, and residential environments with moderate to high noise levels, including working at heights. Physically demanding role involving bending, reaching, climbing, walking, and lifting objects up to 50 pounds. Ability to work on the phone and computer throughout the day.
