Expertise in the field and knowledge of Autism Spectrum Disorders, Emotional Disturbance, and other challenging behaviors. Experience working in public schools, Preschool – age 21 preferred. Knowledge of ABA therapy and Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports (PBIS) is preferred. Provides behavior analytic services to support special education staff, general education teachers, and administrators in behavioral supports and services designed to assist students in the Least Restrictive Environment (LRE). Conducts assessments and develops plans conforming to IDEA, Arkansas law, regulations, and other applicable statutes. Provides district-wide support and training on behavior intervention techniques to staff and administrators. Designs, develops, and implements behavioral interventions with district approval. Participates in behavior teams supporting behavior plan implementation. Maintains records, guides staff in behavioral interventions, and provides coaching and professional development. Participates in Planning and Placement Team meetings as needed. Consults with teachers and administrators regarding students with behavioral challenges. Provides consultation for safety plans and behavior intervention plans. Trains staff and families on behavior support plan implementation. Assists with behavioral data management. Conducts Functional Behavioral Assessments and develops support plans. Conducts evaluations for special education services reevaluation. Develops and delivers staff training on working with students with exceptionalities and behavioral disorders. Other Job Functions

Maintain emotional control under stress. Adhere to statutes, policies, and regulations. Attend meetings and perform duties as assigned. Protect students, equipment, and facilities. Maintain accurate records. Serve on committees as assigned. Ability to lift at least 40 pounds occasionally. Endure prolonged standing, walking, sitting, and other physical activities.
