Plans and supervises the operation of a large public library. Supervises and participates in the selection, development and maintenance of a collection of materials in one or more broad and complex subject area(s). Develops, plans, coordinates and evaluates a major area of library services (i.e., children/young adult services) on a statewide basis. Performs other related duties as assigned. Minimum Qualification Requirements
Legal Authorization to Work:
All applicants must be citizens, nationals, or permanent resident aliens of the United States, or eligible under federal law for unrestricted employment in the United States. Education:
A bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited four‑year college or university. Professional Librarian Experience:
Three and one‑half (3-1/2) years of progressively responsible professional experience in one or more major functional areas of librarianship (e.g., selection, acquisition, cataloging and classification of materials, collection development and maintenance, reference and readers' advisory services, or development and promotion of library services). Comparable Experience:
At least one year of experience comparable to the Librarian IV in the state service. Equal Employment Opportunity
