About Us ND Paper is a wholly owned subsidiary of Nine Dragons Paper (Holdings) Limited.
With two integrated pulp and paper mills in Rumford, Maine, and Biron, Wisconsin, a packaging plant in Sturtevant, Wisconsin, and additional facilities in Langhorne, Pennsylvania, and Fairmont, West Virginia, we produce nearly one million tons of products annually.

Compensation The actual base pay offered to the successful candidate will be based on multiple factors, including but not limited to job‑related knowledge/skills, experience, geographical location, and internal equity.
At ND Paper, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at the high end of the range for their role, and compensation decisions are dependent on each position and candidate.
Job Responsibilities
Demonstrate safety as a core value and establish a safe work environment by actively leading the safe execution of work.
Drive the implementation of a zero‑injury culture, including implementing safety programs and auditing to ensure program effectiveness.
Establish safety policies and work practices to ensure compliance with all state, federal, and ND Paper rules and regulations.
Ensure the facility is compliance with all safety and environmental stewardship regulations and oversee required operating permits.
Provide technical safety expertise to managers, supervisors, and employees including program development, implementation, and execution.
Ensure proper safety equipment is obtained and accessible to employees.
Ensure timely incident investigations are completed and conduct incident investigation training with mill management.
Manage the mill’s clean production initiatives and network with ND Paper counterparts on implementing best practices, auditing, and tracking.
Oversee all aspects of industrial hygiene for the site.
Manage all hazardous waste handling, storage, and disposal.
Ensure the facility’s fire protection systems are functional, sustainable, and compliant with requirements.
Manage risk for fire protection and security needs; maintain contact with insurance and coordinate inspections and audits.
Oversee the mill’s contracted security services.
Network with other safety, environmental, and security experts across ND Paper and participate in cross‑divisional meetings and teams.
Required Experience
Bachelor of Science degree (or higher) in Engineering, Safety, Industrial Hygiene or equivalent experience in an EH&S management role.
A minimum of 5 years of experience in an environmental, safety, or health role working in an industrial facility.
Ability to make decisions under pressure for situations affecting safety of personnel or equipment.
Ability to coach, mentor, lead, and direct employees to meet stated objectives regarding safety, clean production, and sustainability.
Strong organizational, communication, problem‑solving, and decision‑making skills.
Ability to handle multiple time‑sensitive projects and delegate decision making and other responsibilities when needed.
Committed to safety, clean production, environmental stewardship, and continuous improvement.
Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively as a team member as well as independently.
