Our Junior Estimator is a member of the estimating team on projects and collaborates with other Estimators, clients, and suppliers to prepare and complete bid/submittals for electrical construction projects.

Description Of Duties & Scope
Actively participate in estimating and pre-construction activities of new projects.
Collaborate with corporate and project management to determine project bidding strategies.
Review proposal specifications and drawings to determine the scope of work and estimate contents.
Prepare detailed estimates by calculating complete takeoffs of scope of work.
Maintain files of working documents, including current prices from suppliers.
Generate scope of work, pricing, and labor schedules based on engineer’s narratives.
Review design options and recommend solutions based on cost, quality, and material availability.
Participate in preparing, reviewing, and presenting technical and design/build proposals.
Conduct studies on materials, construction methods, and cost-effectiveness.
Perform additional assignments as directed by supervisors.
Qualifications
Degree in Construction Management, Electrical Engineering, or relevant field experience preferred.
Electrical/Power Systems classes and internships are advantageous.
Strong willingness to learn and improve.
Interest in electrical and power systems.
Excellent communication skills.
Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work responsibly and efficiently.
