The School of Music is seeking a qualified instructor to teach applied low brass lessons to music majors and non-majors at the university. The qualified candidate will be committed to teaching excellence, innovation, and program development. Job Summary:
The ideal candidate will also maintain a local and regional performing profile that will attract quality low brass students to the university. Responsibilities: Teach applied lessons in low brass (Trombone, Euphonium, Tuba) Work with the Director of Bands in program development and recruitment efforts Qualifications: Required Qualifications: Southern Nazarene University is an expression of the Church of the Nazarene. All faculty and staff must possess a strong personal Christian commitment and be committed to the SNU mission. An understanding of the importance for diversity, inclusion and equity Master’s degree in music Minimum of two years of related work experience and/or relevant training Experience teaching low brass at the high school level Possess strong verbal and written communication skills Ability to prioritize multiple demands in fast paced work environment Preferred Qualifications: Doctorate degree in music Experience teaching at the university level Established performance career Evidence of the ability to recruit and retain quality students Work Environment:
