Culinary Arts Position Summary

Responsible for the successful execution of Meijer Gardens Culinary Arts services, ensuring a quality, world‑class experience for all guests. Works independently with effective direction and support for staff, volunteers, and vendors. Essential Functions

Coordinate, organize and implement food & beverage services for events and concerts Provide floor coverage for food and beverage services Monitor quality and consistency of products throughout distribution Coordinate, document and inventory items aligned with beverage services Anticipate potential challenges, apply critical thinking skills and implement proactive solutions Assist with delegation of staff responsibilities and monitor performance Monitor and maintain cleanliness and general organization of facility and equipment Coordinate and document food and beverage accounting information Coordinate and maintain knowledge of Point‑of‑Sale systems, including reports, system changes, and software updates Assist with ensuring all applicable regulations, ordinances, codes, and laws are followed (MDHHS, MLCC, and other governing municipals) Education and Qualifications

Experience: 2‑3 years of catering and/or banquet experience with a working knowledge of bar service; 2‑3 years of customer service; 2‑3 years in a supervisory role; event coordination is beneficial. Skills: Fast‑paced environment; strong computer and communication skills (Microsoft Office, Excel, Word, Outlook); detail oriented and strong organizational skills; valid driver’s license; flexible schedule including days, nights, weekends, holidays; available to work most or all summer concert dates.
