Salary: Commensurate with experience
Work Schedule: Varies, including some evenings, weekends, and holidays
Location: Athens Area

Minimum Qualifications Technical knowledge in the field, acquired through an apprenticeship, a 2-year degree, or professional certificate. Contact HR for evaluation of education/experience in lieu of minimum qualifications.
Preferred Qualifications & Responsibilities
Knowledge of livestock management and agronomic practices for feeding beef cattle
Welding, carpentry, basic electrical skills
Ability to repair mechanical issues and operate equipment
Private pesticide applicator license, BQA certification, Beef A.I. certification
Physical Demands
Lift, push, carry up to 50 pounds
Work outdoors in various environmental conditions
Work varied schedules, including evenings, weekends, holidays
Driving required
Position Responsibilities
Farm Operations & Facilities Support:
Maintain farm operations, ensure animal health and safety, manage pasture, fencing, irrigation, pest control.
Nutrition Maintenance:
Manage forage planting, harvesting, and equipment operation.
Equipment Maintenance & Repair:
Perform repairs and safety checks on machinery.
Research Support:
Assist faculty and students with research activities.
Breeding & Animal Care:
Assist with artificial insemination, breeding, and animal care tasks.
General:
Record keeping, compliance with policies, and other duties as assigned.
