401(k) Savings Plan Eligibility begins the first day of the month following your hire date. The Company offers a matching contribution up to 6% of your eligible compensation. Enrollment guidelines and a 401(k) Enrollment Guide will be provided during onboarding.

Paid Sick Leave Accrual of up to 56 hours of paid sick leave per year. Unused sick leave rolls over annually until your sick bank reaches 480 hours.

Vested Vacation Hours Eligible to receive vacation hours on January 1st following your hire date. These hours will be vested and available for use in accordance with Company policies.

Non-Revenue/Space Available (NRSA) Travel Privileges NRSA (non-revenue/space available) travel privileges on Contour Airlines upon hire and access to MyID Travel after 6 months of service.

Leaves of Absence Eligible for various types of leave, including:

Medical Leave Non-Medical Family Care Leave Maternity and Paternity Leave Personal Leave

Compensation Details The starting annual salary for this position is between

$48,000.00

and

$55,000.00

based on your prior work experience.

Summary of Essential Duties The Safety Specialist is responsible for ensuring that the safety management process is established, communicated, implemented, audited, measured and continuously improved for Contour Airlines and its customers.

Key Responsibilities Reviews Employee Safety Reports and recommend action to various departments, divisions, and corporate officers Conducts periodic safety audits of company locations, including administrative training, ground handling, maintenance and flying activities Maintains records of audit activities and safety recommendations made to various company officials Carries out an investigation, independent of other departments for safety related incidents and accidents Make timely safety recommendations to company executives, the Safety Committee and AE Conducts data and trend analysis on safety trends from proactive reports, incidents and investigations Maintains the safety management system (SMS) manual with current information as directed by the Director of Safety Assists the Director of Safety with development of SMS processes, procedures, and training Responsible for the quality of the documentation and records process associated with the SMS Maintains the Emergency Operations Manual (EOM) with current information as directed by the Director of Safety Assists the Director of Safety with development of EOM processes, procedures, and training Facilitates hazard identification, safety risk analyses, and monitoring the effectiveness of safety risk controls Ensures safety promotion throughout the organization Develop, implement, and maintain SMS processes within the areas of responsibilities to include hazard identification, safety risk assessments, and the effectiveness of safety risk controls Maintains the companies Safety Management System Software (PRISM), users, reporting tools, report templates, training etc. Conducts safety assurance and validation to ensure program and mitigation effectiveness Other duties as assigned by leadership

Qualifications Must be at least 18 years of age.

Must have a valid driver's license and a good driving record. High school diploma or GED equivalent. Possess polished and professional interpersonal skills with a positive attitude and a customer-oriented mindset. Possess strong leadership, interpersonal and organizational skills. Must have well-developed people skills and ability to work with a variety of personalities. Able to coordinate multiple priorities and meet deadlines. Operational knowledge of laptop and desktop computers, working knowledge of Microsoft SharePoint, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Adobe Acrobat, or related presentation programs. Operational knowledge of Outlook is required. Competency with internet navigation is also required. Experience and/or knowledge of software/hardware relevant to the essential functions of this job description Must possess the ability to grasp new concepts quickly and with little instruction. Able to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information Able to handle interruptions and a fast-paced environment. Able to work with confidential materials and information. Ability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously. Maintain strong attention to detail.

Excellent communication skills both written and verbal delivered with tact and professionalism. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Ability to work in a safe professional manner adhering to all regulatory requirements including OSHA, EPA, state, and federal regulations.

Bachelor’s Degree in Aviation Safety and Security preferred or equivalent experience Aviation and/or Airline experience, demonstrating a technical understanding of aviation Safety Programs, as well as having knowledge of FAR 135 operations and regulations preferred Experience with ARMOR PRISM SMS Software preferred Leadership and/or project management experience. Prior aviation experience is preferred.
