10%Ensures that necessary athletic equipment and gear is available and in proper condition for scheduled practices and competition and makes recommendations for repairs or replacement, as necessary.
25%Performs administrative tasks such as maintaining statistics. Attends coaches' preparatory meetings and implements strategies resulting from these meetings.

Education
Bachelor's degree is required.
Years of ExperienceÂ
Prior coaching experience at the college level or participation as a collegiate athlete. Â
Certification and/or LicensureÂ
First Aid, CPR, AED Required (or willingness to obtain).

Ability to act with honesty and sportsmanship at all times so that intercollegiate athletics as a whole, the university and they as individuals, represent the honor and dignity of fair play and the generally recognized high standards associated with wholesome competitive sports.
Solid knowledge of NCAA regulations and guidelines governing the recruitment and retention of student-athletes.Â
Ability to handle highly confidential material and maintain strict confidence. Â
Ability to read, understand, follow, and enforce safety procedures and have knowledge and understanding of all aspects of the swimming and diving program.Â
Ability to successfully recruit and retain student athletes.Â
Skilled in exemplary customer service, including dealing effectively with the students, faculty, staff, and general public both in person and over the telephone.Â
Ability to maintain professionalism when dealing with all staff and other customers and possess the ability to work effectively with a wide range of constituencies in a diverse community.Â
Demonstrated knowledge, understanding, and sensitivity to the needs of all prospective as well as current students.Â
Excellent writing skills and the demonstrated ability to develop written reports and action plans. Good organizational, oral and recruiting skills.Â
Ability to work effectively, decisively and flexibly in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.Â
Ability to identify problems and to propose feasible solutions.Â
Strong organizational skills, ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines.Â
Knowledge of, or ability to learn applicable sports-related technology. Â
Ability to lead and guide student-athletes in area of specialty.Â
Ability to travel with the team and monitors the conduct of student athletes.Â
Ability to accept and provide effective supervision, assignments, change and correction
