Inside Higher Ed . The full salary range for the Campus Fire Inspector is $75,900 - $137,300 annually. However, the expected pay scale for this position is from $73,600 - $110,000 annually. We base salary offers on a variety of considerations, such as education, licensure and certifications, experience, and other business and organizational needs. Responsibilities
Under the general supervision of the Lead Designated Campus Fire Marshal, perform professional duties related to fire and life safety as part of a multi-disciplinary professional/technical staff. Ensure campus compliance with State codes and regulations applicable to fire safety in buildings and equipment, including Titles 8, 9, 19, 24, et al. of the California Code of Regulation. Ensure compliance with applicable national standards related to fire safety, including the National Fire Protection Association Standards. Perform required inspections of fire extinguishing systems on campus, including automatic fire sprinkler systems, hydrant systems, standpipe systems, fixed extinguishing systems, and fire protective signaling systems. Perform annual Title 19 building safety inspections and Title 24 new construction inspections. Qualifications
Applicants must have current work authorization when accepting a staff position; sponsorship or transfer of sponsorship for an employment visa is not available.
