The Varsity Tutors Live Learning Platform connects thousands of students with online tutors across the country. As a tutor on the Varsity Tutors Platform, you can set your own schedule, earn competitive rates, and make a real impact on students’ learning journeys—all from home. Base pay and compensation
Base pay range: $18.00/hr - $40.00/hr Base contract rates start at $18/hour and increase for specialized subjects. You’ll earn incrementally higher pay for each session with the same student, up to $40/hour. You may be paid up to twice per week for tutoring sessions you conduct and invoice. Responsibilities
Tutor remotely using the Live Learning Platform with no commuting required. Match with students best-suited to your teaching style and expertise. Deliver personalized, high-quality instruction to Grade 11 Math students. Incorporate AI-powered tools (Tutor Copilot) to enhance sessions with real-time support, lesson generation, and engagement features. Manage invoicing and payments (Varsity Tutors handles logistics and payments). What we look for in a tutor
Strong communication skills and a friendly, engaging teaching style. Expertise in Grade 11 Math with the ability to explain concepts clearly. Ability to personalize lessons and adapt to different learning styles. Preference given to candidates with tutoring experience, teaching experience, or graduate-level education.
