Position Purpose Union College, a highly selective liberal arts institution located in Schenectady, New York, is accepting applications for the position of part‑time Assistant Women’s Soccer Coach. The women’s soccer program is a member of NCAA Division III and the Liberty League.
Essential Responsibilities and Duties
Assist the Head Coach in training and during competition, including skill instruction and development.
Film: review game film, clips, and make notes in playlists for the team to prep for film sessions; offer times to meet with players individually to go over film.
Tactics & Game Strategy: spend time during the day in the office with the coaching staff going over how the team can be more productive on the field and how to create more goal‑scoring opportunities.
Gear: assist with gear distribution and organization.
Gameday prep & travel: help organize food for the bus, post‑game meals, and get equipment ready for bus trips.
Qualifications
Previous collegiate coaching or playing experience preferred.
Possess solid organizational, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
Understanding of NCAA rules and regulations.
Candidate must be able to successfully communicate and work with a diverse group of individuals.

Compensation The expected rate for this position is $15.50 an hour. Except for roles with a set rate of pay, the wage/salary of the finalist selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to departmental budgets, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, and training. The stated hiring rate/range represents the College’s good faith and reasonable estimate of the rate/range of possible compensation at the time of posting.
