December 2025 . Key Responsibilities Deliver engaging and thought-provoking History lessons aligned with the
National Curriculum
at
KS3 and KS4 Foster a
positive ,
inclusive
classroom environment that encourages curiosity and achievement Monitor and assess student progress, providing timely and constructive feedback Maintain high standards of classroom behaviour using effective management strategies Contribute to
curriculum development , departmental planning, and whole-school initiatives Participate fully in school life, including
staff meetings ,
CPD opportunities , and
extracurricular activities What We’re Looking For Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification Strong subject knowledge and experience teaching
History
at secondary level A confident classroom presence and the ability to deliver high-quality, engaging lessons A commitment to inclusive teaching, supporting all students to reach their full potential A collaborative, proactive team player who contributes positively to the school community Job Details Role : History Teacher (Permanent) Location : Daventry and surrounding area Start Date : December 2025 Contract Type : Full-time, Permanent If you’re passionate about bringing history to life in the classroom and ready to take the next step in your teaching career, we want to hear from you!
