Responsibilities
The Geospatial Analyst shall perform analysis of the full spectrum of US Government and commercial GEOINT assets and maintain expertise in all associated tradecraft, including SAR, EO, MTI, LiDAR, OPIR, GI&S, WAPS, geospatial data processing, analysis and modeling, and general intelligence analysis.
Maintain proficiency with tools and databases necessary to access supporting intelligence information required for GEOINT support to the customer.
Use geographic information systems, methods, and tools to answer critical intelligence questions.
Perform specialized scientific and technical data processing techniques utilizing non-standard and developmental software suites, to include SAP, CAP, and CNWDI level programs; stage for exploitation; and provide requisite training as required by the Government.
Adhere to GEOINT-related technical publications, policies, and directives at the National, Theater, and local level. The NSG GEOINT Basic Doctrine will serve as the foundation for all GEOINT analysis, production, and reporting.
Capture analytical findings in textual, graphic, vector, or other formats as directed by policy and ensure GEOINT reporting adheres to applicable content, accuracy, formatting, classification, and timeliness standards. Maintain familiarity with relevant classification guides, security policy, and ICDs.
Remain abreast of geo-political events and topics related to supported Combatant Commands and theaters to provide informed, timely answers to customer intelligence requirements.
Education/Experience
Required qualifications/skills:
MA or MS in Geomatics, Geospatial Sciences, or related technical field AND 10 years of relevant experience; OR
BA/BS in Geomatics, Geospatial Sciences, or related technical field AND 15 years of relevant experience
Qualifications
College degree in Geospatial Information & Services (GIS), Geomatics, Geospatial Sciences, or related field.
Relevant experience in geospatial analysis and/or geospatial information systems.
Current/active TS/SCI clearance with SSBI.
Expert knowledge of Esri ArcGIS Platform, QGIS, MapBox, GeoServer, and similar tools.
Experience with spatial databases (Oracle, MSSQL, PostGIS).
Experience with geo-spatial data governance, metadata management, and related analytics.
Ability to present geospatial information via multimedia presentations and reports.
Experience with geospatial programming languages (Python, R, SAS, Java) to deliver custom workflows.
Experience coordinating with industry counterparts on technical projects and assessments.
Current/active TS/SCI clearance.
Desiderata / Additional Skills
Experience with IC/DoD geospatial data and repositories.
Project management framework experience.
Knowledge in cartography, GIS, and spatial modeling.
Familiarity with Army, DoD, or IC geospatial processes and programs.
GIS certifications (e.g., GISP, Esri Professional) or government equivalents.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and graphic design principles.
Familiarity with NSG SOM and object-based production concepts.
