Key Responsibilities Leadership & Team Development
Recruit, train, and mentor Managers, while making key staffing decisions and overseeing their ongoing development and performance
Provide strategic leadership to field teams, shaping culture and driving operational success across residential management
Fostering a culture of excellence, accountability, and continuous improvement
Conducting performance evaluations and succession planning
Communicating clear expectations, motivating teams, and aligning efforts with organizational goals
Driving interdepartmental collaboration to ensure cohesive strategies
Operational Oversight Ensuring high standards of property maintenance through inspections and audits
Overseeing leasing, maintenance, and resident service operations
Monitoring rent collection systems, delinquency control, and vacancy reduction
Reviewing and approving revenue management strategies
Ensuring compliance with housing regulations at all levels
Financial Management Supervising preparation and review of operating and capital budgets
Monitoring Net Operating Income (NOI) and implementing revenue optimization strategies
Analyzing financial statements and performance metrics
Authorizing expenditures and managing vendor relationships
Reviewing market surveys for competitive rent pricing
Strategic Planning & Marketing Developing and executing marketing strategies to maximize occupancy and rental income
Aligning property goals with organizational objectives
Leading long-term capital planning and sustainability initiatives
Recommending and implementing operational policies and procedures
Client & Stakeholder Relations Serving as liaison between ownership and property teams
Communicating performance updates and expectations to stakeholders
Conducting regular meetings with clients and ownership groups
Addressing complex tenant issues and promoting resident satisfaction
Minimum Qualifications Skills, Abilities and Knowledge
Knowledge of real estate business principles and multifamily property operations
Strong leadership and team development capabilities
Effective communication and interpersonal skills across diverse teams and stakeholders
Ability to work independently with discretion, professionalism, and sound judgment
Strong sales, marketing, and resident engagement skills
Proficiency in analyzing financial statements, budgets, and operational metrics
High attention to detail and accuracy, with strong math aptitude
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint)
Ability to learn and utilize property management software (e.g., Yardi, RealPage, MRI)
Familiarity with leasing platforms and market analytics tools (e.g., CoStar, VTS)
Understanding of policies, procedures, and strategies for operational safety and compliance
Knowledge of economic and accounting principles, financial markets, and reporting standards
Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
Ability to manage multiple priorities and perform complex tasks under pressure
Commitment to maintaining consistent attendance and reliability
Required Work Experience
Minimum of 10 years of experience in multifamily property management
At least 35 years in a senior leadership role overseeing multiple residential communities
Proven track record of improving property performance, team development, and resident satisfaction
Experience with capital planning, budgeting, and vendor management
Familiarity with compliance standards and housing regulations
Certifications and / or Licenses
Valid driver license legally allowing driving for work purposes during working hours
Valid automobile insurance when operating a vehicle for business purposes
Any other licenses / certifications required by governing agencies - otherwise, none
