DeSales University, in Center Valley, Pennsylvania, is a Catholic, private, coeducational, four-year liberal arts university. Founded by the Oblates of Saint Francis de Sales in 1964, the 550-acre suburban campus is located about 50 miles north of Philadelphia and 90 miles southwest of New York City. Position Summary
The Assistant Coach is responsible for assisting the Head Coach in all aspects of recruiting, field maintenance, on-campus visits, camps and clinics. Recruiting will consist of managing recruiting efforts, including recruiting database (FrontRush), scheduling campus visits, emails and phone calls. Incumbent’s area(s) of coaching expertise will be utilized within the needs of the coaching staff. Incumbent will also develop and maintain professional working relationships not only with the coaches in the Athletic Department, but also with members of the University’s Admissions staff.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree required
Strong work ethic and excellent organizational skills
Valid driver’s license with clean driving record
Ability to communicate effectively
Previous playing experience and coaching experience at the collegiate level preferred
Sensitive to issues of ethnicity, disability and diversity
Dedicated to the mission of a small, Catholic, liberal arts institution
