187 Primary Purpose:

Provide students with appropriate in-person and virtual instruction to support their intellectual, emotional, physical, and social growth. Enable students to develop competencies and skills for successful societal functioning. Qualifications:

Education/Certification: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university Valid Texas teaching certificate with required endorsements or related training and work experience for certification waivers under the District of Innovation Plan (DOI) Special Knowledge/Skills: Knowledge of assigned subjects Understanding of curriculum and best practices for online learning Proficiency in Internet and web-related technology Ability to instruct students and manage behavior Competence in using various technology applications and platforms Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills Support students with technology setup and troubleshooting Experience: Student teaching, approved internship, or related work experience Major Responsibilities and Duties:

Develop and implement lesson plans aligned with district curriculum, demonstrating preparation Prepare lessons accommodating diverse learning styles Deliver subject matter following TEA, board policies, and regulations Utilize appropriate instructional strategies, activities, and technology, considering students' learning needs Assess student learning styles and adapt instruction accordingly Collaborate with special education staff to modify curricula per IEPs Coordinate with staff on instructional goals and methods Supervise and plan for teacher aide(s) and volunteers Assist students in improving study habits Provide timely feedback and monitor progress using various methods Conduct ongoing assessments of student achievement Participate in extracurricular activities and sponsor approved outside activities Model positive behavior and support district mission Create a conducive learning environment for in-person and virtual classrooms Manage student behavior per policies and conduct standards Ensure safety of students, equipment, and facilities Assist in selecting instructional materials Maintain communication with district personnel, students, and parents via phone, email, or video Communicate effectively and professionally with all stakeholders Participate in staff development and comply with regulations and policies Maintain required reports and records 25. Attend faculty meetings and serve on committees as required Engage in ongoing professional development Supervisory Responsibilities:
