HSE Manager

o Develops / drafts the HSE programs, policies, procedures, and standards to ensure full compliance with HSE standards and continuous improvement in HSE performance across all business processes. o Formulates the HSE annual plans, budgets, objectives, and goals for the entity, and ensures their execution after approval. o Manages the implementation of new or revised policies, programs, standards, and practices, ensuring 100% implementation. o Drives the development of safe standard work practices and procedures. o Oversees the implementation of emergency and occupational safety measures, including risk inventories and evaluations for the entity. o Monitors HSE performance and conformance through inspections; recommends improvements; organizes management tools and systems to identify and address potential hazards; takes immediate action if necessary. o Coordinates internal inspections, audits, and investigations; initiates corrective actions for deviations; contributes to external audits and inspections. o Ensures all relevant HSE training, induction, and instruction programs are in place and executed effectively. o Provides insights and advice on HSE developments through periodic and ad hoc reports and analyses to facilitate informed management decisions. o Participates in CAPEX projects and project teams to incorporate HSE standards throughout all project phases and designs. · HSE Tools and Systems, Reporting & Analysis o Manages local HSE systems in accordance with Nutreco policies, relevant legislation, certification standards, and customer requirements to provide insights into HSE performance and progress. o Analyzes lagging and leading indicators/KPIs to recommend appropriate actions. · Incidents and Investigations o Ensures all incident-related activities are executed; actively leads investigations for serious or critical incidents. o Takes a leading role during crises and incidents to manage and resolve them effectively. o Participates in or leads HSE improvement projects at the plant/site level and may engage in divisional or group projects. o Manages and coaches project teams, providing feedback, motivating staff, and fostering cooperation to achieve objectives. o Communicates HSE policies clearly and effectively to ensure staff understanding and compliance. o Builds and maintains relationships with stakeholders, including local Safety Champions, to ensure commitment and effective communication.
