The Technical Instructor II is responsible for providing specialized technical training to internal and external customers on METUS systems and related software packages, with a focus on domestic hot water and hydronic systems. Responsibilities
Provide technical training for internal and external customers both on-site and in METUS training centers. Set up, configure and maintain training equipment and information libraries. As a Subject Matter Expert, aid in the development and maintenance of new courses and course materials. Interface with field-deployed staff to maintain up-to-date knowledge on METUS hydronic product deployments. Conduct on-site assessments of customers’ installation and maintenance functions to determine training needs. Provide backup technical support for internal and external customers when required. Assist with the training and qualification process for internal and external Authorized Trainers. Assist with design, layout, equipment selection and periodic inspection of Mitsubishi Authorized Training Centers (MATC). Willing to travel up to 40% for various company meetings and training, domestically and possibly internationally. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications
Associates degree or a minimum of five years technical experience in the HVAC field. 2 years of experience in formal technical training delivery. 3 years of experience in the design, installation and service of residential and commercial hydronics-based HVAC systems and applications. Strong understanding of hydronics-based HVAC systems, components, and related controls for both chilled water and hot water. Proven experience in troubleshooting complex electronic, hydronic and refrigerant HVAC or similar systems. Highly enthusiastic and energetic with the ability to engage customers during training. Excellent oral and written communication, and presentation skills. Ability to translate complex concepts into clear, easy-to-understand content. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and adapt quickly to changing goals and objectives. Proficient with Microsoft Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, Word and other Office365 products. The base pay range at commencement of employment is expected to be between $85,600 and $117,700 per year, with variations based on location, knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package may include target bonuses and discretionary awards. Eligible employees may enroll in a 401(k) plan and participate in Company-sponsored medical, dental, vision, and basic life insurance for the employee and dependents. Employees will receive 80 hours of vacation per year, 56 hours of paid sick leave annually, and 13 paid holidays per year (depending on hire date).
