Strategic Account Manager position at Bilfinger North America. Location: Atlanta, Georgia. We are growing our US business and are seeking senior business development managers to focus on new client acquisition. Responsibilities
Identify and lead the pursuit of new business opportunities with large, multi-site clients, aligned with the organization’s long-range and strategic plans. Secure new long-term contracts for embedded services. Demonstrate the ability to lead and navigate the entire sales process from prospecting to close. Perform market research and analysis on relevant service line business potential. Support the marketing lead with client-specific annual event planning and priority industry networking/conference events. Assist with business development and marketing planning to align with the annual budget and operational goals. Lead Salesforce responsibilities for entering sales leads and generating sales reports in the company system. Research industry, competitors, and client data; develop presentations and marketing materials for target customers; deliver compelling value propositions. Support proposal and operations teams in developing proposals, qualifications, or other requests for targeted clients. Collaborate with other departments and global networks to differentiate Bilfinger and identify new markets or technologies. Assist management with ad-hoc requests, special projects, and initiatives; prepare management reports. Adhere to all safety rules and perform other related duties as required. Requirements
Strong base of customer relationships in the relevant industry. Minimum 10 years of experience, with emphasis on maintenance, mechanical, construction, and ISP (Insulations, Scaffolding, & Painting) services. 7–10 years of experience with long-term service agreements, contract negotiation, and management. Proven leadership skills; ability to work independently and in a team to meet deadlines. Willingness to travel routinely by air and/or vehicle, including multi-day trips. Ability to lead the development of customer presentations and craft value propositions to pursue RFPs/RFQs. Technical Knowledge and Skills
Working knowledge of construction and maintenance services for industrial facilities. Experience developing business proposals; familiarity with various contract and commercial proposal structures. Ability to negotiate with customers. Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint. Working experience with Salesforce preferred. Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related industrial field; or equivalent combination of education and industry experience. Excellent verbal and written communication and listening skills. Self-starter with strong interpersonal skills; comfortable working with all levels of colleagues and executive management.
