The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill Adams School of Dentistry invites applications for a full-time, fixed-term faculty member in General Dentistry. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, assuring safe and effective delivery of patient care, providing didactic and clinical education, summative and formative student assessment and leading small group seminars. This position offers opportunities for intramural practice, scholarly activities, continuing education, and professional service. Successful applicants should have the ability to establish a robust intramural practice with the UNC Adams School of Dentistry’s Dental Faculty Practice. Minimum Education and Experience
Candidates must have a Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS / DMD) degree or equivalent, and be eligible for a North Carolina dental license or instructor license. Preferred Qualifications, Competencies, and Experience
Minimum of 3 years of experience in educating dental students in preclinical and/or clinical settings, or minimum of 5 years of experience in private general practice. Completion of an advanced dental education program is preferred with prosthodontics emphasis. Candidates must demonstrate excellent clinical credentials, supervisory, organizational, mentoring, customer service, written and verbal communication skills, clinical experience, and a strong background in all aspects of general dentistry.
