The Assistant Casino Shift Manager is responsible for supporting the Casino Shift Manager by providing direct oversight of the casino floor and serving as the Casino Shift Manager designee as needed. The individual has direct supervision of the designated table games floor and Slot floor area and helps foster strong employee engagement, effective employee communication, and excellent guest service. Duties include overseeing daily game protection, floor operational tasks, and employee performance and satisfaction. All duties are performed in accordance with department policies, practices, and procedures. Other key responsibilities include: Build guest and team member positive relations and participate in departmental meetings; Ensure consistent high-quality service to all team members and guests; Set and maintain guest service standards and ensure team members perform to those standards for a favorable gaming experience; Oversee daily table games operations, including opening and closing duties, game protection, irregularity/cheating identification, resolving guest concerns, and adjusting employee table assignments as needed; Maintain high proficiency in dealing and gaming operations; Assist the Casino Shift Manager with task completion and act as designee as needed; Maintain integrity of table games equipment and review new games/technology to make improvements; Ensure compliance with policies, procedures, training, manuals, staffing levels, and guest experience expectations; Ensure compliance of games with Gaming Control Board rules; notify surveillance or leadership if tampering or cheating is suspected; Notify leadership of unusual events, missing items or alleged theft; Assist in interviewing, selecting, training, supervising, and counseling other table games employees for efficient operations; support high levels of employee engagement through communication, recognition, coaching, and development; Qualifications
Required:
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience or a minimum of 2 years related experience, and at least 6 years of table games work experience; prior experience managing table games operations in a similar resort setting; gaming license/registration as required by jurisdiction; ability to establish credibility with leaders; strong knowledge of table games operations, dealing, standards, and rules; effective English communication (oral and written).
