Join to apply for the Addiction Counselor role at Rosecrance Behavioral Health. Position Purpose Participate as a team member in the delivery of substance-use disorder services to adult clients and their families. Facilitate the issues of recovery into client’s daily living situations. Provide program services in an ethical, legal and moral manner within a safe and therapeutic environment, consistent with applicable regulatory and accreditation standards. This Addiction Counselor position will run a morning Intensive Outpatient Group for Adult clients with a primary Substance Use Disorder.
Qualifications
Masters degree in Psychology, Counseling, Social Work, Addiction Studies or other related field, preferred Bachelors in related degree or equivalent experience and training, required Illinois Certified Addiction Counselor (CADC), or licensed in Illinois as a LSW or LPC which supersedes the CADC within 2 years of employment in substance use disorder services

Excellent written and oral communication skills Computer proficiency Ability to navigate and complete documentation in the electronic health record Ability to accurately complete required documentation within the prescribed time frames Skilled in conducting individual, family and group counseling Ability to present and coordinate lectures for clients, parents, staff or community resources Self-starter with ability to work independently Ability to work within a team Belief in the mission and vision of Rosecrance
Essential Responsibilities
Work hours as prescribed by leadership and any additional hours deemed necessary Conduct individual, group, and family counseling and educational sessions for clients and/or family members Complete client psychosocial and individualized treatment plan within required time frame Identify client clinical and case management needs and address them Educate client and client support members regarding all aspects of treatment and steps to recovery Undertake primary case management responsibilities for designated clients Maintain documentation in client service records aligned with SUPR, TJC and Medicaid regulations Maintain communications with all staff (admissions, case management and discharge plans) Assume on-call responsibilities per schedule or when designated Present workshops, lectures and training to clients, families, staff and community groups Be familiar with court proceedings and available to make court appearances on behalf of Rosecrance clients Serve as a member of the team and participate in all team meetings Maintain confidentiality in line with the Code of Conduct and the law Deliver exceptional customer service consistently to every customer
Schedule
Sunday-Thursday 9a-5:30p with a late-night shift.

Based on education, experience and credentials Starting rate for Bachelors - $24.44/hour Starting rate for Masters - $27.77/hour Residential differential - $1.50/hour Professional Certification (e.g., CADC, CRSS, or CPS): +$0.72/hour
