We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Addiction Counselor to join our team and provide support to individuals struggling with substance abuse issues. As an Addiction Counselor, you will be responsible for conducting assessments, developing personalized treatment plans, and facilitating individual or group counseling sessions and contributing to the overall success of the organization. We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Addiction Counselor to join our team and provide support to individuals struggling with substance abuse issues. As an Addiction Counselor, you will be responsible for conducting assessments, developing personalized treatment plans, and facilitating individual or group counseling sessions and contributing to the overall success of the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct comprehensive assessments to understand the client's history, substance use patterns, and mental health status. Develop and implement personalized treatment plans that address the unique needs and goals of each client. Provide individual and group counseling sessions to clients, utilizing evidence-based therapeutic techniques. Monitor and evaluate clients' progress throughout the treatment process, adjusting plans as necessary. Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including medical professionals, social workers, and psychologists, to ensure comprehensive care. Educate clients and their families about addiction, recovery, and relapse prevention strategies. Maintain accurate and confidential client records, documenting interventions, progress, and any relevant information. Stay abreast of current research and best practices in addiction counseling, incorporating new knowledge into treatment approaches. Participate in regular supervision and training sessions to enhance professional development. Adhere to ethical standards and legal regulations governing addiction counseling practices.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, or a related field. State licensure or certification as an addiction counselor. Previous experience in addiction counseling or related field is preferred. Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Empathy, patience, and a non-judgmental attitude towards individuals with substance use disorders. Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team. Knowledge of various treatment modalities and therapeutic approaches for addiction.
