Job Summary
Reporting to the Associate Dean and Director of the Center for Educational Partnerships, the Resource Specialist for NYC Regional Bilingual Education Resource Network (NYC-RBERN) coordinates technical assistance and professional development for NYC schools and districts. This position may require occasional regional travel. Essential Functions
Facilitates, coordinates, and provides technical assistance, professional development, and related activities to the schools and districts throughout NYC. Assists the Director in carrying out the mission of the NYC-RBERN by maintaining ongoing communication with the schools in the region and the Statewide districts. Facilitates school-based activities in target schools that are in various stages of improvement. Attends NYSED network strategy professional development meetings in Albany. Note:

Not responsible for supervision or oversight of others. Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree New York State certification as a bilingual/ESL teacher and/or administrator. Minimum 5 years of teaching experience with English Language Learner students. Experience in providing technical assistance to schools/staff Experience and knowledge of School Improvement Initiatives and research-based best practices for teaching ELLs Experience in working with a diverse population in high-need areas. Excellent communication and strong interpersonal skills. Proficiency with Google and Microsoft Office suites. Preferred Qualifications
Master’s Degree or higher in Bilingual Education or TESOL. Teaching experience in secondary schools. Salary and Benefits
