Overview
POSITION SUMMARY: MSR I:
Under general supervision, acting as a liaison for the credit union to maintain member loyalty by efficiently meeting the needs or requests of the member. Provide accurate account information as requested by the member and provide information about the various credit union products and services to members and prospective members. Opens new accounts, resolves issues and professionally handles members’ inquiries face to face. Provides a variety of transactional services for members’ accounts on deposit and loan products. Ability to recognize additional financial service needs of the member and able to promote and explain these services/products to the member. MSR II:
Under moderate supervision, acting as a liaison for the credit union to maintain member loyalty by efficiently meeting the needs or requests of the member. Provide accurate account information as requested by the member and provide information about the various credit union products and services to members and prospective members. Opens new accounts, resolves issues and professionally handles members’ inquiries face to face. Provides a variety of transactional services for members’ accounts on deposit and loan products. Ability to recognize additional financial service needs of the member and able to promote and explain these services/products to the member. Ability to assist with Teller functions. Conduct on the job training for MSR I.

Cross-Sell Products Cross-sell products and services based on member needs, in accordance with the Credit Union's program standards. Attentive listening and responsiveness to members; demonstrate that others’ thoughts and needs are important. Routine Account-Related Requests: Assist members with funds transfers, Automatic funds transfers (AFTs), stop payments, inquiries about bank deposit products and service charges, ATM and Debit Card usage and limits, checking and savings account transactions, funds availability, and third-party check verification requests.
Additional Responsibilities and Qualifications
Makes and fulfills commitments; demonstrates reliability, punctuality, and preparedness for meetings and work tasks. Quality of Work: maintains accuracy, attention to detail, and high standards of work quality. Based on business needs and as determined appropriate by supervisor, duties may change from time to time. Education: High School Diploma (required); General Education Degree (GED) in lieu of HS diploma. Experience: MSR I – 12 months Sales/Teller/Member Service experience required; 12 months Financial Services background preferred for MSR I; MSR II – 18 months Financial Services background preferred. Additional Experience/Qualifications: Proficient in lending process including input, funding, maintenance; adherence to BSA, Privacy Act and Elder Abuse reporting; assist with lending up to and including inputting funding and maintenance of loans; proficient written and oral communication skills; participation in business development activities (required). There may be circumstances related to MECU business operations that may periodically require you to report to a different branch/work location.

Salary range per hour, depending on experience and qualifications MSR I:
$16.63 - $24.13 MSR II:

Physical Demands
While performing the duties of this position, the successful candidate is regularly required to sit; use hands and fingers to handle objects, tools, keyboards or controls; talk and hear. The employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, reach with hands and arms, and stoop or kneel. Must regularly lift and/or move files and equipment up to 15 pounds and occasionally lift/move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision characteristics include close vision, the ability to adjust focus, and viewing a computer screen for extended periods.
