An established and well-regarded full-service restaurant in East Aurora, NY is seeking an experienced and passionate Executive Chef to lead back-of-house operations. This is a confidential search for a key leadership role at one of the area's most popular dining destinations, known for its elevated pub fare, scratch kitchen, and vibrant local following.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and manage all kitchen operations, including daily service, prep, and production
Develop and execute seasonal menus using fresh, high-quality ingredients
Maintain a scratch kitchen culture and ensure consistent food quality and presentation
Hire, train, and mentor BOH staff; foster a positive and professional kitchen environment
Create and manage kitchen schedules to align with labor budgets and business needs
Monitor food and labor costs to ensure profitability goals are met
Ensure all kitchen operations comply with health, safety, and sanitation regulations
Collaborate with FOH management to ensure smooth kitchen-to-dining room service
Manage inventory, ordering, and vendor relationships
Qualifications
Minimum 5 years of kitchen leadership experience in a high-volume, scratch kitchen environment
Proven ability to create and execute menus, including daily specials and seasonal offerings
Strong knowledge of food cost management, labor controls, and BOH financials
Excellent leadership, team-building, and communication skills
ServSafe Certification or ability to obtain one quickly
Passion for culinary excellence and commitment to guest satisfaction
Ideal Candidate

Able to lead by example in a fast-paced kitchen
Thrives in a collaborative, team-focused restaurant environment
Has experience managing a kitchen staff of 10+ in a high-volume setting
Comfortable with both hands-on cooking and administrative duties
