What you'll do
Provide agronomic training to sales reps
Initiate and establish trials that support marketing efforts for seed and our proprietary line of products to support division sales
Interpret soil, tissue, and water analysis
Research and respond to technical inquiries
Develop proprietary fertilizer formulations
Publish and distribute periodic summaries of agronomic observations and research
Serve as a technical sales resource for Crop Consultants on grower calls
Identify specific nutritional needs and opportunities coming from the field
What you'll bring
Bachelor's degree in Agricultural or related major preferred
5+ years' experience in an agronomist role
Compensation & Benefits The estimated salary noted by Indeed, Glassdoor, and LinkedIn does not represent Nutrien's compensation structure. The salary range for this role in Paso Robles, CA is between $68,640.00 and $115,000.00. This range is general guidance and final compensation depends on factors including experience, skills, education, location, and other business needs. Actual salary and benefits may differ by location. We offer an attractive benefits package including medical, dental, vision coverage, life insurance, and disability coverage for positions >30 hours per week, plus a retirement program with generous employer matching. Our package includes paid vacation, sick days, holidays, paid personal and maternity/parental leaves, and an Employee and Family Assistance Program. Details will be shared in the application process. In addition to base pay, this role is eligible to participate in our annual incentive plan, with discretionary pay based on company and individual performance.
