Engines Technician - Entry Level

Pacific Power Group . Location: Seattle, WA. Travel: up to 75%. Compensation: $22-$28 per hour, based on experience. Schedule: Full-time. Category: Field Service / Workshop Support. This role supports primarily the Puget Sound Region of Washington state and involves extensive travel to customer sites and vessels. It is an opportunity to build technical expertise and gain hands-on field experience with diesel engines and auxiliary systems. Assist in executing diesel engine service and repairs, both on-site and in the workshop Follow instructions closely while gaining hands-on experience under supervision Operate shop and portable equipment such as grinders, honing tools, and diagnostic devices Prepare and maintain accurate documentation, reports, and service records Participate in troubleshooting and inspections with guidance from senior technicians Uphold safety standards, company procedures, and manufacturer guidelines Deliver consistent performance in a high-travel, customer-facing environment Must Have Skills, Experience & Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent 1-4 years of general mechanical experience or completion of a trade program Must possess or be able to obtain a TWIC card Must possess or be able to obtain a valid U.S. passport Clean driving record and valid driver\'s license (company vehicle provided) Basic understanding of diesel engine components and mechanical systems Familiarity with metric measurements and hand tools Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and email communication Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality Physically capable of lifting up to 50 lbs and working in confined spaces Willing and able to travel up to 85% of the time Preferred Skills, Experience & Qualifications
Prior experience working with diesel or auxiliary systems (fuel, air, water, etc.) Use of measuring equipment, test tools, and inspection procedures Experience documenting technical work or providing condition reports Familiarity with workshop or marine service environments Ability to stay organized and focused during frequent travel and shifting priorities Who Will Excel in This Role
