Overview
The Asset Protection Specialist is responsible for preventing financial loss caused by theft and fraud and supporting safety and environmental program compliance in their assigned store or stores. They utilize tools to minimize loss, including identifying incidents of theft and fraud, reviewing CCTV and exception reports, monitoring store physical security, auditing Electronic Article Surveillance, and promoting a shrink-elimination culture in the store. They prepare accurate case reports documenting apprehensions and recoveries, preserve evidence, interact with law enforcement, and testify in criminal and civil court actions. They report hazardous or unsafe conditions to the Manager on Duty and perform duties in a manner that minimizes risk of injury to themselves, other associates, vendors, customers, and the Company. They demonstrate integrity, respond to asset protection and operational concerns of all associates, and stay aligned with store objectives while supporting asset protection and operational responsibilities.
Responsibilities
Identify incidents of theft and fraud and review CCTV and exception reports.
