The James lab is recruiting a talented and highly motivated postdoctoral fellow to join their research team, which focuses on using chemical biology and medicinal chemistry approaches to study chromatin regulation. This individual will help to lead a new drug discovery project aimed at validating new epigenetic targets in cancer and developing novel cancer therapeutics. The postdoctoral fellow will work as part of a large, collaborative, and multidisciplinary team and must be passionate about scientific research and team science. The James lab is located at The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in the UNC Eshelman School of Pharmacy and is part of the UNC Center for Integrative Chemical Biology and Drug Discovery. Minimum Education and Experience Requirements

PhD in medicinal chemistry, organic chemistry, or chemical biology. Required Qualifications, Competencies, and Experience

Extensive experience in organic synthesis, as well as excellent communication skills. Experience and/or an interest in epigenetics, cell biology, or cancer biology is preferred but not required. It is expected that the applicant has published (out or in press) in English language peer-reviewed journals. Preferred Qualifications, Competencies, and Experience
