Rate or rates of pay: $1,020 per credit for undergraduate courses; $1,112 per credit for undergraduate courses after 40 credits are taught within a five-year period; $1,352 per credit for graduate courses. Any future updates to per credit rates of pay will be reflected within the electronic contract. Position Description The College of St. Scholastica invites applications for an adjunct mathematics instructor. The department has 2 full-time mathematics faculty as well as additional faculty in chemistry and physics. The department is welcoming of adjunct faculty and encourages involvement in departmental activities if desired. The successful applicant will teach lower-division math courses, particularly for non-math majors, including elementary education majors. Courses are taught in-person in Duluth, MN, or online. The adjunct teaching needs vary each term based on enrollment, typically between 1-3 courses per semester. The hired individual should demonstrate excellence in teaching.
