Join a leading wholesale distributor serving independent hardware, paint, lumber, janitorial, and building supply dealers across the Northeast. This company values grit, hard work, and team support. The Outside Sales Representative will cover the Hudson County and Northern Westchester territory. This is a field-based role requiring travel to hardware stores, lumber yards, paint suppliers, and other independent retailers to grow accounts, prospect new business, and drive sales across a wide range of products. Base pay range

$80,000.00/yr - $100,000.00/yr Responsibilities

Manage a $5–6M territory of independent hardware, paint, lumber, and supply dealers Visit 8–10 stores per day to take orders, restock shelves, upsell, and build relationships Prospect new accounts through walk-ins, research, and in-person outreach Pitch new products, promotions, and special orders while creating tailored solutions Handle order quoting, pricing, and account follow-up to grow revenue Represent a portfolio of over 19,000 SKUs, including national brands and an exclusive private-label line Meet monthly, quarterly, and annual growth targets with uncapped commission opportunities Navigate challenges such as product availability or delivery issues while maintaining strong customer relationships Qualifications

3–5 years of outside or territory B2B sales experience (construction-related strongly preferred) Strong follow-up skills with a hunter’s mentality and ability to manage accounts Comfortable with heavy travel, early starts, and being in the field daily Ability to use an iPad and basic computer tools without relying on CRM Hands-on, gritty approach to selling and relationship-building with independent retailers Self-starter who balances farming existing accounts with live prospecting for new business Benefits
