MerchantE
Overview
MerchantE (an Omise/OPN company) provides modern acquiring and processing—gateway, risk, tokenization (including network tokens), onboarding/KYB, settlement and reporting—through modular APIs and partner-grade tools. We’re expanding our U.S. presence and hiring a
Mid-Market eCommerce Account Executive
to win and grow mid-market merchants that need scalable, conversion-focused payments with clear economics and rapid time-to-live. What You’ll Do
Own a named territory and full sales cycle for net-new mid-market eCommerce merchants: outbound prospecting, discovery, solution design, business case, pricing and terms, and close. Articulate outcomes that matter to merchants: higher checkout conversion, improved authorization rates, lower fraud/chargebacks, simplified reconciliation, and faster settlement. Orchestrate multi-threaded engagements with Product, Engineering, Finance, and Risk/Compliance on both sides; run smooth handoffs to Implementation and Merchant Success. Build repeatable motions: persona-based talk tracks, ROI models, proof packages, and reference loops; contribute to playbooks and vertical campaigns. Maintain rigorous pipeline hygiene and forecast accuracy in CRM; deliver predictable results against quota with clear stage definitions and exit criteria. Represent MerchantE at industry events and targeted conferences; create event-sourced pipeline and executive relationships. Capture merchant feedback to influence product roadmap and GTM, especially around eCommerce checkout, authorization optimization, and risk controls. How Success Will Be Measured
New merchants signed and activated processing volume/GMV within agreed ramp timelines. Revenue and margin mix (IC++/MDR economics, take-rate, profitability by deal). Conversion and authorization improvements delivered in early cohorts (where applicable). Pipeline coverage, win rate, sales cycle time, and forecast accuracy. Time from commercial agreement to go-live; quality of handoff to Implementation/Merchant Success. Reference ability/NPS and expansion into additional modules or geographies. Who You Are
5–8+ years of solution sales in payments/fintech or adjacent SaaS, with a track record closing mid-market eCommerce merchants. Working knowledge of acquiring economics (IC++/MDR), card-not-present flows, auth optimization strategies, risk/fraud tooling (3-D Secure, fraud scoring), tokenization and network tokens, settlement and reconciliation. Technical fluency with APIs, webhooks, and checkout integrations; comfortable whiteboarding flows with product or engineering stakeholders. Commercial and legal comfort: pricing models, MSAs, SLAs, and procurement/legal negotiations. Operator mindset with strong outbound discipline, CRM rigor, and clear territory plans. Executive presence and crisp communication; able to quantify value and build business cases. Bachelor’s degree preferred (Business, Finance, CS/Engineering) or equivalent experience. What You’ll Get (Why MerchantE)
Competitive base salary + uncapped commission with accelerators Benefits: health, dental, vision, and 401(k) Collaborative, high-performance culture with direct access to Product, Risk, and Engineering Professional growth across acquiring, auth optimization, and platform strategy Flexibility (remote or hybrid) and travel for customer meetings and industry events MerchantE is committed to creating a diverse work environment and we are proud to be an Equal Opportunity Employer.
