Senior Wholesale Account Executive - Contemporary
Our client, a Contemporary brand, is seeking a Sr. Account Executive for Wholesale to manage and grow the business relationship between major accounts, retail stores, buyers, and e‑commerce sites. The ideal candidate has worked with or has relationships with Saks, Net a Porter, Moda, Bloomingdale's, Nordstrom, and other major retailers. This position is based in NYC and requires working on‑site five days per week.
Salary Range:
$125,000 – $135,000.
Responsibilities
Work directly with department stores, specialty stores, and luxury e‑commerce sites
Maintain and build relationships with key decision makers
Implement season profitability plans
Review weekly sales performance
Analyze customer business opportunities
Conduct presentations and meetings with key customers in the showroom
Recommend and implement marketing strategies
Influence company inventory and provide seasonal core projections
Coordinate with merchandising and production to manage delivery status
Provide consumer insights and product needs in advance of the season
Support the sales team including special projects as required by season and need
Perform Account Associate duties as needed
Communicate with all levels of customer service, production, and design
Manage multiple projects and deadlines with support and resources as needed
Maintain a merchandised showroom
Be responsible for Joor and Nu Order line sheet uploads
Support Joor shoots
Support sample trafficking (external and internal)
Provide seasonal budgets by client and location
Work with production on pre‑buys and sizing
Negotiate terms and brand positioning in brick & mortar
Negotiate vendor support, end‑of‑season, and marketing budgets
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
Minimum of 5 years in fashion or related industry.
Excellent internal and external communication to drive business decisions.
Able to manage multiple projects and deadlines with support and resources as needed.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Word and Excel, as well as Joor and Nu Order.
Excellent interpersonal, problem‑solving, and organizational skills.
Ability to perform complex verbal and written communications face‑to‑face and in group settings.
Work responsibilities occasionally concern confidential and/or sensitive information requiring discretion.
Job duties varied, frequently require attention to and/or coordination of concurrent tasks.
Ability to work in a multi‑task, high‑pressure environment.
Ability to travel as required.
Highly organized, detail‑oriented and time‑management skills essential.
Strong follow‑up skills.
