Overview
Corvid Technologies is an engineering services company that provides aerodynamics and flight dynamics support to defense programs through high-fidelity computational models. Corvid develops and uses its own tools in support of these programs and is integrated with program offices and prime contractors. Responsibilities
Develop, analyze, and integrate Multiple-Input, Multiple-Output autopilot algorithms for flight vehicle stabilization and control Develop and analyze trajectory optimization and guidance methods Develop, test, and maintain autopilot algorithms in Corvid’s six degree of freedom simulation model Support development of guided subsonic, supersonic, and hypersonic flight vehicles Develop and perform test plans for ground testing of GNC algorithms in Corvid’s GNC laboratories Day-to-day informal and formal report generation Support flight testing Required Qualifications
M.S. or Ph.D. in engineering, math, computer science, or physics Strong background in numerical mathematics and computer science (algorithms, data structures, etc.). Related coursework or experience highly desired 5 years of C++11 or later experience Proficient in shell scripting languages Direct experience in creating and implementing parallel/concurrent algorithms for high performance computing systems Direct experience in implementing time-domain flight vehicle simulations Familiar with MPI and multithreading packages Ability to write clear, elegant, and maintainable code Familiar with version control, CI, and software testing tools Open-minded team player with excellent oral and written communication skills Desired Qualifications
Direct experience in implementing vehicle models in a real-time Linux environment Direct experience in building simulation systems for modern HPC systems 10 years of C++11 or later experience C++14/17 experience 5+ years of industry experience General Requirements
