Position Location
This position is located at our Main Plant facility.
Responsibilities Compares defects against standards and recommends disposition.
Reviews parts for conformance to drawings and specifications.
Interfaces with internal/external customers and peers.
Operates a CMM measurement system using PC-DMIS; experience programming PC-DMIS is preferred.
Competent in GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing).
Defines and specifies activities, processes, and standards to fulfill the quality requirements for materials, components, or products.
Builds and maintains the infrastructure and systems necessary to ensure timely delivery of quality products.
Identifies and addresses issues with equipment performance.
Audits, monitors, and determines the quality of manufacturing processes and outputs against defined internal and regulatory standards.
Reports and troubleshoots manufacturing process deviations and defects in finished goods.
Conducts tests on materials or samples to verify compliance with specifications and quality standards.
Required Qualifications Required education and experience:
Vocational/Technical Training Degree and 2-5 years' experience OR Equivalent Combination of Relevant Education and/or Experience
Preferred Qualifications Preferred education and experience:
Associate's Degree
Discipline/Major:
Technical training preferred
Knowledge, skills & abilities:
Technical expertise; ability to identify and seek needed information; research skills; problem-solving skills
Physical Requirements Requires regular movement throughout GD-OTS facilities.
Must be able to lift up to 45 pounds.
May need to stand for long periods of time.
Work may require working inside and outside with exposure to changing climate and/or operate machinery.
May be requested to work a different shift.
Must be willing to work outside normal business hours as required.
This position is Safety-Sensitive.
Travel
No or very little travel likely.
